In five days, we are closing on our forever home.⁣

As a military family, to say we have moved a lot is an understatement. In 14 years, we have moved 6 times. Until we moved to Connecticut, Rory had never been at the same school for more than two years. That is a rough life for a kid. She was a trooper, though; always adapting and making new friends, only to have to say good-bye to them at the end of the school year.⁣

When we made the choice to leave active duty and dedicate our time to running Random Tuesday, it was the best thing we could have done. Our lives have been so incredibly full because of you all. But beyond the amazing strength and purpose you bring to our lives, you have given us the chance to have a home instead of a house.⁣

It is not big and it is far from formal. It has a nice yard for the dogs and the chickens, and is a short walk to the town green. I don’t know if Emily would like it, but Lorelai certainly would.⁣

So, as we prepare to close out 2018, I just wanted to stop for a moment and say thank you. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to put down roots. Thank you for giving us some stability in this crazy world. Thank you for all that you do for our charity partners, for each other, and for me. All of you are so amazing.⁣

Thank you.⁣
